PF’s political woes self-inflicted, says former youth leader, Sampa

Former Patriotic Front (PF) youth leader, Kelvin Sampa, says the problems facing the former ruling party are self-inflicted and that they should brace themselves for more.

Sampa m, who ditched the PF shortly after it suffered defeat in the hands of the United Party for National Development (UPND), said arrogance had continued haunting the former ruling party.

“To me this is self-inflicting, even when I was still with them, I used to tell them to listen to the advice I used to give them, but they never listened, they never funded my office,” he said.

Sampa who is UPND presidential campaign team member said if the PF would not put its house in order, it would be deregistered, and everyone would ‘scamper’.

Last week, the Registrar of Societies gave a seven-day ultimatum to PF to update the list of office bearers or face deregistration.

He accused the PF of believing in lawlessness, hence the failure to harmonise their books with the Registrar of Societies.

Sampa said people have continued losing trust in the former ruling party, adding that he had been vindicated for ditching the party.

He said with the policies being implemented by President Hakainde Hichilema, it would be difficult for the opposition to manipulate the people into believing in them.
