Zambia Medicine Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) has conducted inspections in Solwezi and discovered 14 boxes of gloves suspected to be government property at a drugstore.
As a result, police say, a pharmacy technologist was picked for allegedly stealing 14 boxes of hospital gloves valued at K21,000.
North-Western Police Chief Dennis Moola said Edmond Mundanya was arrested after being found with the consignment in his drug store.
In a statement on Sunday, Moola said the theft of the gloves is believed to have happened between January 24 at an unknown time and March 17, 2023 at 16:00 hours.
