Changala Siame, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Secretary General, has demanded full disclosure of the real owners of Macro-ocean consortium that recently won the Ndola-Lusaka dual carriage way concession.
Siame threatened that once the EFF comes into power in 2026, the concession would be terminated regardless of the consequences.
He argued that there was no need for a foreign consortium to borrow money from the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) and make profits therefrom.
Siame said this on Lusaka’s KBN Television programme, governance project, on Wednesday.

“This is the scandal, it should be canceled, it is a shoddy deal ever in the country, the party is ready to pay the price ,” Changala said.
He said the party would use legal means to halt the construction of the road project, including filing an injunction in the courts of law, as well as continue holding peaceful demonstrations to push for its cancellation.
Siame said NAPSA, with its huge deposits, can instead place tenders and pick the best bidder and run it as they recover the money.
He said NAPSA could work with Stanbic Bank Zambia and invest in the road contract.
“Let NAPSA operate the road project after financing it than giving the concession to a foreign company, youths are against the deal,” Siame said.
Finance and National Planning Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane on Wednesday during a media interactions said that there was nothing unusual about NAPSA financing the project.
On politics, he said EFF was the most promising and fastest growing party.
“It is the next big thing, if we are to change government in 2026, EFF will drive that change,” Siame said.
