President Hakainde Hichilema is pushing his earlier threat to deal with his predecessor, Edgar Lungu , if he continues ‘misbehaving’.
Hichilema said it was silly (Kutumpa) for the former President to ‘plot’ a come back even after having brought economic and human misery on the country.
“Ngatumpa fyala mubipila(if he continues being silly, he will be dealt with) , they brought misery, kutumpa uko (that is being silly),” he told a gathering in Luanshya on Wednesday.
President Hichilema said Zambians should not be hoodwinked into believing those who ruled and failed to change the lives of the people could do that when voted back into power.
He said his administration would ensure that those planning a come back to revert the country to ‘impunity’ would not do so.

The President reiterated that he and his supporters suffered at the hands of the Lungu’s regime, hence the need not to entertain any plans to reclaim power.
He said the residents of Luanshya should not forget what they went through at the hands of the Patriotic Front (PF) when they were in opposition.
The head of state also urged residents of Luanshya and elsewhere to take advantage of various empowerment programmes such as the marketeers booster loans under the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) to obtain capital.
“We are dishing out booster loans to traders across the country which will change lives. Apart from that the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) has a component on empowerment interventions that will change the economic trajectory of the world country,” he said.
