Two women who sell foodstuff at a makeshift restaurant in Chambishi, Copperbelt Province have sustained injuries after a stray bullet hit them.
Police reported that two women in Chambishi were hit by a bullet while selling food in their makeshift restaurant.
This was after a truck driver fired gunshots at a group of unknown people who jumped onto his truck.
Copperbelt Police Chief Peacewell Mwemba said Trust Sakala 56 of Lusaka fired gunshots at the group .
Mweemba said Sakala had been arrested for unlawful assault.

The incident allegedly happened on Monday around 11:30 hours along Chambishi Copper Smelter (CCS) road near Puma filling station.
He said police received a call that two women had been shot and injured after a truck driver fired gunshots.
They were in the booths and makeshift restaurants along the road and criminals usually jump onto trucks to steal cargo or goods they find on the trucks when they stop or slow down,” narrated Mweemba.
Mweeemba said in a statement on Tuesday that on Monday at 12:30 hours, Sakala whilst driving a Freightliner truck and trailer registration number ALE 4791 and ABZ 9111T belonging to AM Transport Company going towards CCS from Kitwe-Chingola road stopped along the road to pick up his fellow driver, who was going to CCS.
He said immediately he stopped , a group of unknown criminals jumped onto the trailer and started pulling the tents and when he tried to stop them, they started throwing stones at him.
