Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga says provinces should be given autonomy to manage their affairs.
Kamanga said this when he officially opened the Western Province Annual General Meeting in Mongu on Saturday.
He urged the membership in the province to do more to realise the benefits of decentralization.
Kamanga said the leadership and members of the province to ensure that provinces now had more power to manage football without always calling on football house.
This is according to a statement issued by FAZ media team accessed by Sports Monitor on Saturday.

He said that talent scouts could better organize themselves and connect with the national team selectors through the office of the Technical Director.
Kamanga said that with the provincial chairperson sitting in the national executive committee there was a direct link between the headquarters and the provinces.
He said that the provincial leadership could tap into the business community in their province to support the game at various levels.
Since FAZ decentralised it’s operations each of the 10 provinces has an elected executive that presides over the affairs of football in the regions.
All the 10 provinces hold AGMs preceding the national AGM to lay the ground for the main caucus where all the regions are represented.
Provincial chairperson David Simwinga thanked the FAZ president for gracing the occasion.
