Copperbelt Minister lauds Adventist church for developmental strides

Copperbelt Province Minister Elisha Matambo has commended the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church for putting up various quality eduction and health facilities in the country.

Matambo said this was in line with the government’s policy of free education, reintroduced by President Hakainde Hichilema, as well as the provision of quality health care.

He paid tribute to the SDA church for their great contribution in supplimenting government efforts in the provision of social amenities especially in the health and education sectors.

Speaking during a church service in an homily at Copperbelt University in Kitwe on Saturday, Matambo said it was a blessing to host various renowned church leaders from outside the country.

Matambo thanked the Copperbelt conference for inviting him and wished the church God’s blessing and a successful conference.

He reminded the Christian community to remember that their fight to win souls was not in the physical but a fierce spiritual battle.

SDA World Conference President, Ted Wilson, commended the Zambian government for providing an enabling environment for people to worship God and promoting unity in the country.

Wilson who is on a 10-day tour of duty of Zambia said religious liberty had helped the church make major milestones in wining more souls.

Wilson described Zambia as being blessed for having a God fearing person, President Hichilema as the Republican President.
