A 29 year old man of Lusaka has narrated in the Lusaka Magistrate court how his girlfriend betrayed and accused him of defiling her when she agreed having s*x with him without a condom.
Appearing before magistrate Crispin Hampungani was Justine Mvula, 29, charged with one count of defilement of a child under the age of sixteen contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
Mvula pleaded guilty to having canal knowledge with a girl under the age of sixteen with no lawful authority.
Mvula told the court that the girl in question was his girlfriend and he wondered what he was doing in court because they were in a relationship.

“I love my girlfriend so much, she told me she was above sixteen years old, we had s*x because I never thought she was sixteen, I was only told that after sleeping with her,’’ he said.
He said he was not aware that his girl was underage as she looked older than her age, one cannot tell that she was below the age of sixteen.

Mvula: No, I was not aware. All I knew was we loved each other and we were dating.
