- Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema and his wife Mutinta have left for the neighbouring oil rich Angola for a state visit .
According to President Hichilema’s official facebook page ,the visit has been necessitated by President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço’s invitation.
“Whilst in this country, we will discuss various issues affecting our two nations, and these will centre around unlocking sectors in energy, infrastructure, trade and investment,” he stated.

He was optimistic that the visit would lead to opening more opportunities for both Zambia and Angola.
President Hichilema said he was a firm believer that before looking for partnerships and cooperation at the international platforms, there was a need to look within the regional neighbours.
