Zambia’s Health Minister Sylvia Masebo has said Government will prioritise resolving the shortage of essential drugs in public health facilities in 2023.
This comes after a looming drug shortages in public health facilities causing panic to Zambians in recent times.
Masebo said one of the 2023 main focus areas of the Health Ministry would be unblocking barriers in the supply chain of medicines and medical supplies.
She said on Tuesday in the capital Lusaka when Egyptian Ambassador to Zambia Moataz Anwar paid a courtesy call on her office.

According to the Ministry of Health posting on its official social media page ,the Egyptian Ambassador presented a message of good will and cooperation from the Egyptian Government to the Zambian Government in the health sector.
Masebo also said there was need to learn from other African countries performing well in the health sector such as Egypt.
She welcomed the initiative of exchange of programmes between Zambian medical specialists and Egyptian counterparts to share knowledge in areas of need.
