Richard Mwanza, a 44-year-old businessman of Kabanana Compound, stands accused of defiling seven children under the age of 16.
The young survivor recounted how her friend D invited her to accompany her to her uncle’s shop to collect money.
Unbeknownst to her, this visit would lead to a horrific encounter with the deacon, who allegedly defiled her.
As she sat on the deacon’s lap, he gave her a lollipop and later inserted his penis into her vagina, starting the painful process of defilement.
The accused gave D K30 and instructed them to share K15 each, attempting to silence them with money and sweets.
During cross-examination, the girl bravely answered questions, revealing the deacon’s sinister actions.
She revealed not to have felt pain or blood coming out after being defiled.
The court has adjourned the matter to August 6 for mention and August 27 for trial, as the prosecution continues to build its case against Mwanza.
