Zega Mambo, as ZESCO United are passionately referred to by fans, were reduced to ten men in the 35th minute after Ian Otieno was sent off following a foul on Andy Boyeli.
Power then took full advantage on 39 minutes through an Austin Muwowo strike.
Boyeli doubled the lead at the stroke of halftime with Power heading into the break with a two goal cushion.
In the second half, ZESCO United needed a response and they surely did, with goals from Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba and Abraham Siankombo who restored parity against the champions.
